Production gates
Before Alley Hound could offer coverage, the product would need an identified legal insurer authorized to write Texas private passenger auto, approved or properly adopted policy forms, filed and supported rates and rules, bind authority, claims operations, required consumer notices, and a tested Texas DPS filing process.
SR-22 filing
An authorized insurance provider must issue an SR-22. Texas DPS requires the certificate when it appears on a driver’s record. This prototype sends no filing and confirms no driver eligibility.
